Perl Installation and Required Libraries

In order to develop with Perl and other libraries, you'll need to ensure that your system has Perl installed along with several required libraries:

  1. First, make sure your system is up to date by running the following command in your terminal: Open a terminal and type sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
  2. Next, install the necessary build tools and development headers:type sudo apt install build-essential libssl-dev zlib1g-dev
  3. Next,check if Perl is installed on your system,perl -v
  4. If Perl is not installed, you can install it via your system's package manager. For example, on Ubuntu and Debian-based systems, you can use the following command:

    sudo apt-get install perl
  5. Once Perl is installed, you can use the cpan command to install the required libraries:

    1. In the terminal and type cpan
    2. Now, install the Mojolicious framework and Template Toolkit:At the cpan> prompt, type install Mojolicious and press Enter
    3. If you plan on using HTML::Template instead of Template Toolkit, you can install it with: At the cpan> prompt, type install Template::Toolkit and press Enter
    4. If you plan on using HTML::Template instead of Template Toolkit, you can install it with:At the cpan> prompt, type install HTML::Template and press Enter
    5. If you plan on using a database with your Mojolicious application, you'll need to install the DBI and DBD::mysql or DBD::Pg modules depending on your database engine:At the cpan> prompt, type install DBI DBD::mysql and press Enter
    6. Finally, if you plan on using AI and machine learning libraries with Perl, you can install the necessary modules:At the cpan> prompt, type install AI::Perceptron AI::DecisionTree AI::Genetic and press Enter This will install the AI::Perceptron, AI::DecisionTree, and AI::Genetic modules, which are commonly used for machine learning and artificial intelligence tasks.

    These libraries will now be available to use in your Perl development. If you encounter any issues during installation, be sure to check the relevant documentation or seek help from the community.
